Nobody needs to tell me I am the worst Blogger ever, I have already discovered this on my own. Here is a quick overview of the last few months. Sterling is HUGE. He is currently around 17 pounds and if you hold him for too long you lose all feeling in your arms. At his 4 month check up right before Christmas we were told he is 90th percentile for both height and weight. He has been sleeping through the night since early to mid October and that truly is wonderful.
Leslie went back to work mid-December and Sterling has been in daycare ever since. We found a place close to our house that does a really great job. It was harder on Leslie to take him to day care than I think it is on him. One great thing about day care is I change less diapers!
Sterling loves to talk, just like his daddy. Even though he can't speak words he will have a conversation with you. Once you are done "talking" to him he "talks" back. He pretty much just says gooo. He smiles almost constantly and is overall a very happy baby. He still only cries when he is hungry, or you take his bottle away to burp him, he does not like that at all. He has started rice cereal and some fruits though, he is not a fan of eating off a spoon, but he is learning.
For Thanksgiving we made the trip to Charleston to visit my parents. While we were there Sterling got to meet his 2 cousins, my brother Ladson and his wife Elizabeth's children, Mary Reilly and Anna Grace. Anna Grace is only about 5 weeks older than Sterling, so it was great to see them side by side. After Charleston we drove to Fort Mill, South Carolina to visit my grandparents, GoMom and GoDad, for the day before driving back to Nashville. Sterling did great in the car. He is one of those babies that once he gets in the car seat he just passes out. In fact we had to wake him up to feed him on several occasions because he had been asleep for too long.
For Christmas we stayed in Nashville. Sterling was spoiled by his grandparents and even though he had no idea what was happening I still think he enjoyed having all the attention.
Leslie's Aunt and Uncle own a beach house outside of Panama City Beach, Florida so we were invited to go down and spend a few days for New Year. The temperature was in the mid 50's but it was in the low 30's in Nashville so it was definitely a good weekend to not be in Nashville. We had fun taking pictures of Sterling in the sand although he wasn't quite sure what to think of it.
He did great in the car again, but he has had a bad cold the last few days. In fact the reason I am able to blog is because I stayed home from work to take care of him. I took him to the Dr. and they said there isn't much they can do for the cold except to just keep an eye on him.
It is hard to blog with our schedules. Leslie drops him off at day care around 7 in the morning and I pick him up around 6. Leslie gets home around 5 and works out before I get home with the baby. Once I get home we eat dinner and then I get to go work out. By the time we are done feeding him and putting him to bed it is time for us to go to bed. Leslie has to get up at 5 in the morning so she can get him to daycare and get to work. I will try to do better though.
So, here are the pictures in no particular order. They include beach pictures, thanksgiving pictures, Christmas, and Leslie had some 3 month photos taken of him by a professional.
He Loves to sleep on you. He prefers this to his pack and play, even though it's not a good habit for him to keep.
Leslie's Dad and him taking a nap in Florida.
Sitting in the sand for the first time.
He Loves to stand up, even though he has no balance.
Leslie's Dad and Connie teaching him how to balance the books.

His Thanksgiving outfit. He fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner and didn't wake up until we got home.
Sterling is getting bigger every day and as you can see by the videos he is learning to do things on his own. He tries to hold his own bottle although he isn't quite strong enough to do it yet. Leslie and I think that he will walk before he crawls because he loves to stand up. He can stand up on his own as long as you are there to balance him.
I think that covers about 3 months worth. I will post well before another 3 months passes.
